چکیده

Objective: To describe the presentation spectrum of postoperative spondylodiscitis (POSe) following transforaminal endoscopic lumbar discectomy and to report outcomes interbody fusion (TLIF).Methods: This study analyzed all patients with classic features POSe who underwent index surgery elsewhere presented us. They had not responded conservative care for 3 weeks were operated further open TLIF. The treatment response was judged by declining values inflammatory markers, improvements in mobility, decreases pain. Patients’ using a visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), occurrence complications. Radiological assessed implant stability. demographic analyzed. PubMed searched find incidence organisms involved. Results: Fifteen primarily interventionalists four surgeons among 19 finally TLIF at Stavya Spine Hospital & Research Institute. Organism culture positivity found 10 no results present 9 cases. All cases follow-up 52.94 ± 13.66 months (range, 28–71 months). preoperative back pain VAS improved from 9.47 0.61 (8–10) 0.42 0.50 (0–1). leg 5.78 4.19 (6–10) 0.52 ODI 87.01 7.70 (73.33–97.79) 7.36 8.14 (0–26.67). No major complications occurred. Cure infection stable reconstruction achieved patients. Conclusion: has very low reported incidence. Standardization training sterilization would reduce its However, aggressive early nonresponding produces beneficial results.

TLIF--transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.

Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is a relatively new technique of lumbar arthrodesis via posterior transforaminal approach to the disc, indicated mainly in cases of degenerative disc disease, low grade spondylolisthesis and reoperation for disc herniation, specially when there is indication for interbody fusion and posterior decompression. The main advantage of TLIF is that it allo...

Outcomes of extended transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion for lumbar spondylosis.

This study aims to assess the results of extended transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) for a two surgeon, single institution series. In total, extended TLIF with bilateral decompression was performed in 57 patients. Pain, American Spinal Injury Association scores, patient demographics, body mass index (BMI), perioperative indices and radiographic measurements were recorded and analysed...

Minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion

Minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS TLIF) is performed via tubular dilators thereby preserving the integrity of the paraspinal musculature. The decreased soft tissue disruption in the MIS technique has been associated with significantly decreased blood loss, shorter length of hospitalization, and an expedited return to work while maintaining comparable arthrodesis rat...

Modified Mini-open Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion

STUDY DESIGN Retrospective case series. OBJECTIVE To describe a modified technique for mini-open transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) that improves visualization for decompression, fusion, and freehand pedicle screw insertion. Accuracy of freehand pedicle screw placement with this technique was assessed. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA Mini-open TLIF is a minimally invasive technique th...

Radiographic restoration of lumbar alignment after transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.

OBJECTIVE Restoration of lumbar lordosis is a critical factor in long-term success after lumbar fusions. Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is a popular surgical technique in the lumbar spine, but few data exist on change in spinal alignment after the procedure. METHODS Eighty patients who underwent TLIF surgery were retrospectively reviewed (minimum follow-up period, 2 years). Sta...
